The Epistles of Ralph

The Epistles of Ralph
Ralph's Epistles to the Union Citians & Others
Having been chastized by Gary Brown, alias GB, for lapses in the Blog entries, I offer the following updates. (GB leads a sheltered and boring life).

Sat. began with music at Yalaha, followed by the Arts Festival in Eustis---nothing like the Reelfooot Lake Arts & Crafts. Purchasing anything here would require mortgaging the family farm. This was followed by a Classic Car Cruise-In. Don't know why they didn't add to the diversity with a tractor pull or 'rasslin.
Sunday was worship at Morrison Methodist at Leesburg, home of a great organist and choir. The pastor apologized to the visitors for it being Stewardship--Commitment Sunday but it was a great service. Seeing elderly people on canes and walkers making their way to the altar to present their committments to God as they always had was enough to bring tears to your eyes. Having received news of the death of a cousin on the Gilliam side, a good worship experience was appreciated.
Sunday afternoon brought on two concerts at the same time and we elected to attend a Brass Quintet concert, made up of musicians of Florida Symphony. Music from classical to Scott Joplin & Duke Ellington.
Tuesday night was a little theatre production of "Streetcar Named Desire". INTENSE but GREAT!
Today, after a bit of shopping was another work day consisting painting shutters & grillwork. (Red & Shirley, I missed your help.)
Tomorrow morning will bring early temps around 40 degrees but we hardy tennis nuts will be there as usual. We played in a drizzle yesterday. I admit that my partner and I were beat by a twosome, one of which is 79.
Hopefully, more exciting entries will follow in coming days.
