New York City: From Daybreak To Nightfall
Matt Lauer reviews his notes during a commercial break.
Interestingly, he and Al both made it a point to chat with
the crowd whenever they could. It is obvious that they
like doing the outside spots . . . and they probably
recognize that this is one of the the things that differentiates
Today from some of the other morning shows.
OK, kids. The Ed Sullivan Theater is home to the
Late Show with David Letterman. Like most TV studios,
it is much, much smaller than its screen appearance. My
seat was on the fourth row, about 15 feet from where Dave
does his monologue.
Fun Fact: When they come back from commercial breaks,
do you notice that Dave is always adjusting his coat. He
actually takes off his coat during every commercial break
and does not put it back on until just seconds before going
live.

Week In Review
Scott and Marilyn made a cameo appearance in Hardin
Valley during their visit to East Tennessee. While here,
Scott read Bryce passages from "Love Story".
While his cousins, uncles, and Pop
play with IPods, MP3s, XBoxes, and
Wiis, Bryce has not been introduced
to such luxuries; thus, he finds
enjoyment in his frugal father's
transistor radio
