Bryce Across America - Oahu
A few photos from our wonderful seven-day
trip to the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and
Maui. A special Seinfeld tribute concludes
this post.
Our hotel at the Hilton Hawaiian Village,
former home of the Don Ho show, and for
you Presleyterians, Elvis' favorite place to
stay in Oahu. The building at the far right
is best known from the opening scene from
Hawaii Five-O.
. . . and Maui
On top of Haleakala, a dormant volcano
which last erupted in the late 1700s. We
went from 80 degrees at sea level to 47
degrees at 10,000 feet.
"The sea was angry that day, my friends, like
an old man returning soup to a deli."

It's Leaf Jumping Time In Tennesse
OK, Mike, how many years has this been going on? I know we didn't have enough leaves when you and Scott were little, but at some point I was going around town and loading up the station wagon with bags of leaves at curbside to bring home. (I no longer have to do that). It was one of Dorris and my favorite times of the year. Our pile was usually a tank as it was WW2 era.
