We conclude with a Trivia Question about Nick's Cow Mug that was handed down by his mother: The mug came from the Smoky Mountain Pancake House (circa 1973), one of only two pancake houses in Pigeon Forge at the time. Can you name the other Forge pancake house back in the day?

If you answered Z Buda's you would be correct, sir. The former mayor was one of the original pancake purveyors in the Forge. Thanks for playing.
I think you both are full of "batter". I don't remember any Z-Buda Pancake establishment. He was only into hard drugs and swim rings.
Good money was paid for that Sevier County News Record subscription. Your sons saw to it that the paper was not only perused but also used as a learning tool. In later years, I got some good lines from Jim Dumas. For example, he once wrote that "the Smoky Bears had more turnovers than the local pancake house". That line one day found itself in the Daily Messenger (UC had a Pancake House at the time . . can you name it?)
